The Power of Words
I had a conversation this morning with a client about talking to her kids. It got me thinking about how much power we have as parents. Well, as people, really. What we say to one another can alter someone else's mood, feelings, even how he feels about himself. That's a ton of power.
I want to encourage you to use that power to build up your kids. Be aware of your choice of words. Verbally notice what you would like to see more of, the great qualities you love about her, ways being together make you happy. Even when you have to discipline, you can phrase your words to focus on the behavior, not your kid.
Power. You have a lot of it. Use it. Show your love.
