Parenting Tip Tuesday

Say "I love you" Every Day

Those simple words have a powerful effect on all of us. Children who are told they are loved grow in self-confidence, self-esteem, and have a more positive outlook. Offer this important phrase with no strings attached (unconditional, whether their room is clean or not smiley) and with eye contact, a smile and body language that is open. Be generous with your hugs and praise. Let your children hear you say it to your spouse or partner, if that is compatible with your family's values.

Jackie DeShannon said it best. I'd like this as my ringtone!
